I remember noticing the composition of the list on Sunday, right after my
first post about the train summit made the spotlight. As of that moment, all
but one of the Spotlighted posts were about something *other* than MOCs.
9 out of 10 being "bashing" may not be true, but I would argue that we have
more meta spotlight items of late and less spotlight items that are just
plain and simply about new creations.
Meta includes lots of valid stuff, outages, organizational info, shopping
related stuff, everything except building. By that metric, most of the time,
most of the spotlight is meta.
That's not necessarily bad or good (the spotlight ought to be (and is)
spotlighting what the readers want it to be spotlighting), just an observation.
