Then I have some very good news for ya! :-) There's actually a way to
subscribe to any lugnet newsgroup via e-mail -- that is, to have the messages
delivered straight to your e-mail inbox moments after they're posted.
Here's how to do it for the lugnet.lego.direct group: Go to the news entry
page for the group,
http://news.lugnet.com/lego/direct/
and from there, click the "Subscribe as mailing list" link in the lower-left
corner, and that takes you here:
http://news.lugnet.com/news/mail/sub/?lugnet.lego.direct
and type in your email address, email confirmation code, and click Subscribe.
(If you don't have a confirmation code, go here first:
http://news.lugnet.com/news/mail/ccode/
and it'll send you a little note via e-mail with a code to type into the box
that proves you can receive e-mail at the address you gave.)
That's about it! There are currently 43 people receiving lugnet.lego.direct
via email and you can check the traffic page or the lugnet.admin.statistics
group for an idea of how many posts per day the group gets.
It won't help you to be able to respond instantaneously to stuff, but you'll
find out about it right away -- it comes to you, rather than you having to go
find it! :-)
