(...) Oh, you won't see me buying anything on Dec 26. Only amateurs buy that early. If you want STEEP clearances you have to watch the 10, 20, 30% off and more sales go by and let the stuff sit on the shelf. (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

I concur with Duane. 6381 Motor Speedway is the only place I've seen it in white. Also rare? Blue: I've only seen it in 6539 Victory Cup Racers. Next rarest: Yellow and Green at 3 sets each (some of those sets overlap). But then, I figure that you'd (...) (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) 5542 is a cool set, for two reasons: doors and windows! Well, actually, there's black and yellow pieces too. The model is cool, though I did not affix the stickers. If I see someone wheeling away a palette of discounted 5542's on Dec. 26, I'll (...) (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

I have one or two of the 2441 car bases - (URL) , in white, but can't remember what sets they came from. I thought they came from 6539, but was mistaken. Does anyone know what sets they come in? I searched the Pause db under Race yesterday with no (...) (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)

(...) My take on 5561 is good source of parts, but not all that sturdy, the wheels keep falling off. I have 4 or 5, got them mostly for the red and white windows but couldn't resist building one. It's been built for 3 months now which is a while for (...) (26 years ago, 11-Nov-98, to lugnet.general)
