My take on K'nex: professional modelers can design K'nex structures
which are more impressive than equally-priced LEGO structures. For
kids who follow the instructions, they can build these more-impressive
K'nex models more quickly than the equivalent LEGO models.
But for creative play, LEGO is more realistic and more flexible.
In our house, LEGO gets played with about 10 times as much as K'nex.
The kids will get the K'nex out occasionally, and futz around with it.
Then it gets put away for weeks or months.

Hey! I thought the rollercoaster and ball factory were being
re-released?
