I did not attend BricksWest last year - mainly because it was held in

won't attend BF'03 if it's held in the same place.

That's a shame.  It'll be a lot of fun.  I too live in the SF bay
area, and was able to attend BW last year very cheaply.  I carpooled
with another member of our club, and we stayed in a campground (which
was not without its share of hassles, but it was very cheap) instead
of at the (very expensive) hotel.  It can be done...

I know it makes a lot of sense to hold it down there - that's where the park
is, there's a healthy population of AFOL's there, and that's where the
organizers live (I think). Still, those of us who live in other areas might
like to see it move closer to us. Are other locations (the Bay area or the
Northwest, for example) even being considered?

I'd like to give Legoland a chance to do it right this year.  If they
fail as badly as they did last year then I would definitely endorse a
change of venue.  If it weren't for the presense of Legoland, I would
like to see it held in the Bay Area, which is about equidistant
between the southern california and PNW folks.  If Legoland's support
for BW03 doesn't materialize then I will definitely support a Bay Area
event in '04.

AMAZING BUT TRUE: There is so much sand in northern Africa that if it were
