I've gotten a couple emails from people who have followed the RTE200 Error instructions on ldraw.org ((URL) thought that I wrote them the best I could, and had them checked over by the group. I found it. Its date is 11/99. I'll try that one for the time being. Managed to get my system up again. It was pretty amusing. I caused much more damage than LDAO ever did. Yesterday I did some tests and I found out, that just the MFC-code is using the user-preferences for proxies and other internet-settings on NT and 98. So I feel at least under Windows I HAVE TO GO the MFC way :-( However a different point is that (...) (24 years ago, 26-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

What I can tell you is that the http code will run on Windows if you used sockets for the communication. Hy Mike, I like the idea but I will have to have a deeper look into it ... With NT you will not have any problems using two CPU even if MLCad is single threaded (but it isn't some gui things run parallel) but in this case NT will properly give MLCad (...) Hi, I was wondering if there were a functioning version of LDraw Add-on I could get. I have Windows98, and last time I tried to install it it screwed up my Explorer file and I had to delete the Windows directory and reinstall Windows. A real hassle! (...) Michael, I believe the reason that NT is faster in big machines is that it can address large amounts of memory more quickly. I am successfully using a cross section of the LDraw related applications in Windows 2000. MLCad, LDraw Add On, L3Lab, L3P Add on, L3P and POV Ray. I have not tried to run LEdit or LDraw since MLCad and L3Lab can replace those pretty well in the (...) (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I actually had MLCad installed on my Windows 2000, worked fine. However, I did have trouble with L3P... But that might have been my fault... ;-) Oh! I have never tried to run MLCad on 2000 since I do not have it, but until now I did not receive any hint that there are problems.
