My opinion would be:
minifig pirate rifle
minifig pirate pistol
minifig ww rifle
minifig ww pistol
This keeps everything very simple. If Ldraw users don't know what they
are...they probably don't need them in their drawing.

Look out, danger! Actually I think you can get little MegaBlocs M-16s.
I think TLC should stick with what they know, and avoid hand cannons. These
things a insanely huge in real life. What self respecting minifig is going to
want to carry a howitser into battle?
