Hy,

I did some experiments using InstallShield. I think it's possible to download
files from a http server using a additional dll providing the required
functions for downloading.

But there are some open issues now:

1) I would like some sort of text-file describing what is available and where
it is located. Example:

[BASE-PACKAGES]
LDRAW.EXE      1.0    http://www.ldraw.org/download/ldraw/ldraw.exe

[LIBRARY]
COMPLETE.EXE   0001   http://www.ldraw.org/download/updates/complete.exe

[PARTS]
LCAD9715.EXE   9715   http://www.ldraw.org/download/updates/lcad9715.exe
....
LCAD0001.EXE   0001   http://www.ldraw.org/download/updates/lcad0001.exe

The first column is a name (any), the second the current version, the third
the download location.
The file could be http://www.ldraw.org/download/dlinfo.txt

2) I found out that it is a problem with extracting these things since you get
questions all the time asking if you agree on overwriting the old files when
executing e.g. complete.exe.
QUESTION: Is there a way to avoid that?

3) How about asking the Jessiman's for permission to combine LDRAW.EXE the two
updates and complete.exe into one special download package containing
everything?
Personaly I would prefere this a lot!!!!!!!
I'm also willing to keep this installation program up-to-date.

Best regards,
   Michael
