If you do inline it so that your new sub-part is used and doesn't reference any actual primitives, programs like L3P and LDView can end up displaying things with gaps. Hello, in this case i would agree tp Franklin's opinion regarding using two ring instead of creating a new primitive because if we create a new primitive section for this you will have very big number of possible combinations (ring 1 +ring 2, ring 1 (...) If you go creating primitives for every little sub-part that's used a few times, you end up with a primitive directory that's unwieldy & lots of parts which inline because they don't know the (...)   Question on very old French flag (curved version, from '66)
 
According to the following link (URL) French flag seems red-white-blue from the pole and out, and not blue-white-red as it should be. Is this just an error in the booklet? I've been working on the BFC code in my application, and well, either I need to go to bed now (which is probably true either way :) or the BOX5.DAT primitive slipped into the last update with wrong-way wound quad. I wonder if it would be worth it to re-make the minifig hands too. The hand should tilt away from the hand "stem" at an angle of about 15 degrees. Right now, to get the correct angle of the hand to the arm, the hand has to be tilted so the solids (...) (22 years ago, 29-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Congratulations Chris, This is a tremendous improvement. I wonder whether interior is really necessary. Personally I would be satisfied with a better-than-current exterior. That would work but... what if you want to render the base with the Lego logo on the studs? L3P and LDView use the stud primitve to determine Lego logo placement. Hi Tore, This one could use some edge lines at the tips of the "thumbs" It also has that problem with the optional line where the cylinder meets the flat surface that we talked about before.
