  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) I have a feeling that this has been said before, but still: Let's not forget that the Star Wars sets are probably the best LEGO System sets for a long time. I think most people would agree that these sets are much better in terms of (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Idea: Boycott the falcon

(...) Junorised pieces refer to parts like the new bay window pieces in the new town sets or the one piece car wheelbases from the new town sets. -- Jonathan Wilson wilsonj@xoommail.com (URL) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) I would say Lego has been targeting primarily kids since the introduction of the mini-fig. I can't think of even one instance (and I've been here a long time) where Lego implemented something an AFOL wanted. What's changed is that Lego now (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

Mythical creatures was:Re: Pricing and stuff

(...) I've seen them, I've seen them! Lego reps that is, not drop bears. But I didn't speak to them. (There were two together, some sort of Dropbear training?)!:) James. Bunyip anyone? Hmm... do 'mericans understand what a bunyip is? (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.loc.au.nsw.syd)

Re: Reigonal User Group building centers

(...) I do like these ideas and have tossed them around in my head myself but it allways comes back to $$. One of the biggest problem is to balance donations with peoples ability to pay. I for one could probably donate a fair amount but someone else (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.org)

  Re: Some disturbing news

(...) Why? The spare parts packs (with the occasional exception) suck, and have sucked for years. They're mostly runoff from whatever sets Lego is producing at the time anyway. Have you ever considered purchasing DACTA sets? (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Some disturbing news

Would this be all service packs, or only those in the 5xxx range? Surely they will not discontinue essential service packs, such as the 9756 LEGO MINDSTORMS Rotation Sensor, for example. Peter Callaway <pcallaway@bmcl.com.au> wrote in message (...) (25 years ago, 26-Oct-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) I'm dual-booting to Win95 (haven't gotten around to bothering with NT, and don't want to give MS any more of my money) to use Photoshop.   Re: Utah Legomaniacs group name nominations

As an outsider, I'd recommend against this one -- Wasatch doesn't mean anything to me, and if I had to guess, I'd probably think "some strange and fabled mountain creature related to the Yeti" before I'd think "somewhere in Utah".
