RC 2 has been dropped and RC 3 is not expected out until sometime in late
Oct., more likely Mid. Nov. RC 3 is usualy the last release cadidate that
goes out before the last beta. At this point I'd guess W2K will hit the
street in Mar. or Apr. of next year.

RC3 is the release candidate for the operating system, not the release
candidate for a beta.  Microsoft is working hard at having Win2k release
this year, and that is still the official party line.

Actualy that isn't correct. In *EVERY* case since Win NT 3.51 RC 3 has been
the last candidate before the last beta relase which has also been the final
release version.
