Wow. Did you do that for a paper or thesis? Very worthy research with a surprising outcome. I am sure most of us would surmise that the big sprung cylinder would give more efficacious designs because the displacement would be larger. This site deserves to be nominated for CLSotW. What is particularly cool is that you did all the measurements with LEGO, right down to the chart recorder. One tiny enhancement suggestion: links to the various tested compressors would be sweeeeet! Hi, all pneumatics fans, For some time I've been trying to figure out how to objectively compare the performance of the various air compressor designs especially the ones using the large pneumatic hand pump which seem to be coming into fashion (...)
