I've captured one of my deisgns that I think is fairly good: (URL) 10 & 2/2 modules * 2 full loops for added engineer time * "Hightown" area raised 18 bricks encompassing 2 modules * Tunnel under Hightown for the lower loop * Either loop could be (...) I've been creating dozens of layouts in TrackDesigner. I see some things recurring, and I wanted to know how people felt about the importance of including certain features in a layout: (A) An "inside" centre space. _Description_: The modules, in at (...) So I've done a little more thinking. First, it occurs to me that this layout is sort of the minimum sized big-8 layout: (URL) requires 7 modules. Thanks for asking. But anyway I was thinking about train layouts. The one thing about every train layout is that it is just a simple loop. My guess is that it fell on the shop or factory floor somewhere along the way. Then someone just picked it up, wiped off the obvious bits, and put it back "on line". I've been staring at this 6324 Chopper Cop tricycle for a long time, and realized how useless it seems-it can't really be anything more than a trike, though it has some nice features like a towing hitch and styling for the engine block.
