Maybe you
shouldnt be criticizing my view because it could very well be right for me.
And maybe you should stop thinking I shouldnt share it with others because
others may see it and say it is right for them, too. If all viewpoints are
relative, I have as much right to state mine and convince others my view is
one they should have, too. Just like you do.

Lee, this is an interesting argument against moral relativism - but I doubt
Dave is arguing on behalf of moral relativisim. You have assign this belief
to him, and then proceeded to attack that belief, all the while you ignore
the discussion at hand (the issue being your continued use of offensive and
demeaning words).
I think Dave is arguing that tolerance does have a firm meaning. Tolerance
may be very similiar to cultural relativism. But a rationale that attacks
cultural relativism does not also redefine tolerance. Tolerance means what
it means, and Daves definition is accurate.

I dont assume anything about Dave - his own statements show he is a moral
relativist. Nobody else here apparently has problems calling things as they see
them when it goes against their own positions. Im no different.
And I am just about sick of people saying my continued use when it was someone
else who snipped it out of that prior piece I had written. I said that only
once in all the messages posted. In my reply to him I used it again to say it
was an accurate term because the term itself tells you the kinds of actions a
person who is that does, and with who they do it.
As for tolerance, I dont accept his definition. Thats not a description of
tolerance. Its a description of acceptance. Youre both flat wrong.
