Frank, do you really think the people who are expressing stupid opinions
such as : "USA is supported by God" or "SH is the Devil and we HAD to get
rid of him, there was NO other solution!!!" will listen to any good
argument? They are blind to any constructive discussion. Many people here
are sure that Bush did it unhappily and that he is truly sorry for Iraqis
who died to protect their country. Many people really think seriopusly that
France is EVIL. Many believe that God has sent a message to Bush too.
Sure, talking about issues is a good thing, but unfortunately, less than 5%
of the population is smart enough to listen to good arguments, think about
them and make their own minds. What I'm trying to say is that
unfortunately, there is a wide range of opinions out there, but most are
pre-fabricated material from either political parties, TV personnalities or
pressure groups. It's the same for all "Against war" protestors here,
although I personnally believe they are right, even if their opinion is not
solidly established on facts, but rather on general beliefs.
Do not overestimate the power of thinking of the common person. Most people
are like sheeps, following the herd...
Ask anyone on the street to tell you why they are against or for a war.
Their answers will surprise you for their stupidity!
As for Eric's message, I don't know what to think of it. I'll give him the
benefit of the doubt and think it's a joke, but i'd be very disppointed to
learn he was serious about this.
