I missed Rather's interview--I think it was on during 'Enterprise' or 'The
West Wing', not that I really bothered to check when it was on--I lumped it,
mistakenly or not, in the 'Let's get ratings at any cost' group, and I don't
seem to appreciate the 'ratings at any cost' group.
I have now read the transcript (as linked in an earlier post) but came away
not knowing anything more than I knew before--He 'won' his 'election' with
100 percent of the votes? Did Rather ask who he ran against, or how someone
would get their name on the ballot? Nope. What type of journalist would
forego journalistic integrity in favour of ratings? Not one I wish to watch.
Yeah, I reiterate, a completely wasted opportunity to do some true journalism.
My boycott of CBS continues...
