I think this is a case of 'we put the sets in the catalogue...kids will expect to see them...price is too high...if we drop the price on these, maybe kids will return to lego, as it's now "cheaper" to buy, and these will act as starter sets for kids (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Why is Lego subsidising these? (Olympics perhaps?) and more importantly. HOW is Lego Australia susbsidising this? I don't think the shipping out here can be subsisdised by suddenly manufacturing it themselves. And why then isn't everything (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Mmmmm. Toyworld Bowral, renowned for early release but RRP, also has them, 3409 at $59. This makes much more sense than the $115 I seem to recall we originally expected. And at $20 for the buses, that doesn't seem so bad either. I should be able to (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)

Hi, I went into Wollongong Mall this morning to see if any of the stores had the Lego Soccer sets. To my great delight and surprise, the David Jones had ALL of the soccer sets. An even greater surprise were the prices! The 3409's were only $54.95!!! (...) (25 years ago, 15-Jun-00, to lugnet.loc.au)
