That's why LA have got it all backwards. The reason why there's such a large
LEGO community in the US is beacause it's cheap and very available. The
product created the market. Once that had been established they both feed each
other. Very simbyotic <sp>.LA seem to be waiting until there's a sudden rush
on LEGO here before they do anything mildly proactive WRT price and
availability. They'll be waiting a long time IMO!
If our pricing was more in line with the US pricing (after currency
conversion) LEGO would go gangbusters in this country. One of the most
interesting things I heard from our little setup in WFK Penrith was a father's
comment to his son as he was staring open-mouthed at PeteW's and my stuff. He
said to his son "You can look but don't touch. Each one of those studs is
worth a dollar". Parents all know LEGO is expensive, that's why they generally
don't buy it for their kids.

See PeteW's comment on BrikWars! All we need to do is get a hold of 20 or so
packs of these trees, set them up and then implement a scorched-earth policy
mid battle!!
