Hi all,
As I said I would, I went and had a look at the show that was on in
Westfields Figtree.

It was very average. There were about 6 one and a half metre lego statues
of bunnies, pooh characters and a pirate. The main set was a perpex-covered
trailer. It showed off the main themes of lego, castle, ninja, arctic, town,
rock raiders, SW, etc. Each one had about a square meter alloted to it. They
were all just off-the-shelf sets. The only one that was vaguely interesting
was the ninja knights attacking the castle.

They were running two competitions; a treasure hunt, where you had to find
the locations of lego models that were hidden in various store windows. The
second was a 'guess the pieces' comp that was running the entrance to
K-Mart.

To summarise; don't bother. Saw much better models at 2000.3.

later,
David Drew.
