It's sad but I must agree this. TRUs here in Turkey stopped selling
Lego. The shelves previously occupied by Lego sets are full of
Megablocks sets now. And by looking at the models (the big yellow race
car, aircraft carrier, battle cruiser, attack helicopter, big red rescue
helicopter, etc.) and piece counts, one can easily say that Megablocks
is much more Lego then the Lego itself.
I have a collection of about 270 sets. I bought almost all of them
(except my 10 predakages sets) during the period of 1997-2001. When I
rechecked my set list, I've seen that I have very very few sets which
have copyright dates 1997 and later. Only a few RESQ and Adventurers
sets, Super Car II, other several technic sets and the full Star Wars
line.
