If you're company thinking of not concentrating on your core product, I
think two words should immediately come to mind...

Or... create a generation of Bionicle fans who don't even know that it's

You are not stepping off any cliff. And you are not alone in your thinking.
The simple fact is that if the company won't (for whatever unknown reason)
put out some things that at least resemble traditional brick-based sets,
then open the ability to buy in bulk at reasonable prices.
What frustrates me most about that 'Ultimate LEGO Book' are those sculptures
near the back done by so-called 'artists'. Who are these people and why do
they clearly get access to bricks that the general public can't buy?
Similarly, the book goes to great lengths to flaunt the work done by LEGO's
internal designers for the theme parks, but oddly forgets to tell you that
it's impossible to buy such bricks in any reasonably significant quantities.

Maybe it was me, but my family didn't have a lot of "disposable" income (I got no allowance), and I would call me family a little bit on the old fashioned, (subdued-factor), but I had ways of (...) (23 years ago, 30-Nov-01, to lugnet.general)
