<snip>

Ironically, it was the BlockCAD program that first got me thinking about
LEGO as an adult and quickly lead to the end of my dark ages.  Then I got
the taste of real bricks in my blood again, and I don't use it very much
now.  :)

for me, it was just over 2 years ago, I was doing good fighting urges to
go back to collecting the lego, avoiding the toy stores, trying hard not to
look in the toy advertizements.  Then I made the mistake of going into
a toy store, and seeing the Railroad Express.  Then I found E-bay, ironically
near the same time, and won a bid for a 4559 Cargo Train.

It was a long pent-up desire for Lego Trains, that brought me out of my
(2nd) dark age.  Since then, I have (practically) tripled (if not quadripled)
my collection.

Lugnet, Brickbay, and Brickshelf don't help (neither does Lego.Com / shop @
home).  Though, I ain't complaining.  It has made me go from a build the
basic model, to now build your own stuff....

<slaps myself to get back to reality>

... it would help though to have a much larger bulk section on shop @ home,
or else go back to designing classic sets...

The question wasn't, "why can't (...) (23 years ago, 1-Dec-01, to lugnet.general)
