I want to use RCX or Scout in TRAIN series ASAP, but RCX or Scout is too big and
sometimes too complex, I hope TLC can make mini-RCX or microi-Scout for TRAIN series,
these two don't need baterry and the power can get from outside:
Idea1:
Mini-RCX, there is no battery box, and inpot and outpot ports are on the sides of
display, so the length is about the width of RCX,  but the width is only about 1/3 of
RCX, other two sides can have IR, this Mini-RCX can be used to train or car itself as
it is small scale.
Idea2:
Micro-RCX, this one only has one input and one output port, no display, near a cube,
it can receive message and reply message, this one can be used to simplified control,
for example, level crossing, traffic singal, switch tracks and so on.
Idea3:
Automatic coupler, at the moment the magnetic coupler can only combine two cars, if
you can wind some wire to make a electromagnetism coupler, it will can both combine
and separate train cars when current direction changed.

Train series are favorite to AFOL any time and all time, you can create very complex
sets and parts base on the most modern and high-tech, and let AFOL can make more
complex train system, your company  can get more benifits than now, why don't LEGO do
it?

We would be better off with DCC.

(...) AFAIK, it is designed to control trains. In fact, it does not just control the motor, but can also control lights, whistles and trackside objects. -Frank Followups to lugnet.trains (24 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego, lugnet.trains)
