I guess I should clarify a bit. Expensive for me at this point is darn near
everything. Although the military isn't known for it's get rich quick
programs ( chances of winning the lottery are exponentially larger ), the
regular active duty sure beats the heck out of Midshipmen pay. Put it this
way, I went from a little over $1500 a month( which isn't much, but when all
you do is travel on board ship to interesting places like Australia and
Japan, who's going to argue, y'know? ) to less than 5% of that by accepting
an appointment to a service academy. They say it pays in the end, and I'm
sure it does. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining at all! Well, maybe
just a little. I think I was pretty fortunate to be able to travel the
world, support my country in military service and now get college for free
at one of the premier academic institutions our nation offers. All in
exchange for some stress, a lot of sweat, and next to no pay. What a deal!
Yeah yeah, I know, but in the meantime, it's puts one heck of a cramp in my
lego aquisitions. Ah, the price we must pay for our dreams...! :P

I wondered if that's what you meant. I've got about 15 or so of the originals.

Got a real good deal on them, and I couldn't refuse. What to do with them?
Now that's an interesting matter. But I'm sure they will turn up somewhere.
The IOM is a big place you know... Hmm...

You know my biggest army isn't even castle. I wish I could incorporate it,
but somehow I don't think I could use a Union or Confederate army in a
castle context. Got a little over 300 of the Union guys and 150+
Confederates. Brikwars anyone?
Seriously though, Is there still talk of a brikwars game going at Brickfest
this year? Any word on what type of game or what scale? I'd love to mix it
up with a few other armies. Keep checking the Brickfest newsgroup, but maybe
it's too early to start planning in earnest.
Looking forward to it though! If anyone has word ( or rumors... we like
rumors... yeah! ) please pass it along! Till then,
- Joe
