All, I am starting to actually _create_ MLCAD based models and I am having trouble locating some of the basic parts. 1x1 brick, 1x2 non-printed brick, 45 Slope 2x2 non-printed and 1x2 tile with one center stud are just a few I am having trouble (...) (23 years ago, 6-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Is there a way to set up MLCAD so that when I do a zoom in, say change from 100 percent view to 300 percent view, to have the view centered on the part that is currently selected? (...) You need to download the main library files. These are ldraw.exe (the original LDraw software) and complete.exe (the complete collection of LCAD part updates). These are both ARJ archives, in self-extracting packages (just like lcad0002.exe (...) (23 years ago, 15-May-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Well if your useing MLcad, go to 'file' and select 'scan parts'. This will ask you if you want to add any new parts it finds to the directory. I'm trying to build my first L-draw / MLcad model, and my first step was to use a 1x10 technic beam, and since my parts list only has 1x2 and 1x14, my virtual creation stopped before it started. (...) Tim, Color 24 in MLCAD was purposely made to be different that Dark Gray (8), the same way Color 16 is to be different from Light Gray (7). In addition to this I personally feel that the grey edge colour for black elements is too dark, it works for one black element but when you have a black model the joins become nearly invisible. Hey, There should be some buttons with arrows going around axes. These control the rotation of an element around the x, y, and z axes. The degree of rotation is determined by the grid icon. You can also edit the amount of rotation by going to (...) (24 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Hey Dug, I have had some difficulty with that at times as well. One way I began to over come the problem was to open the rotation dialog bod and go to the bottom text window (you have to click the radio button to enable it). And enter "1 0 0 0 1 0 0 (...) Maybe I have something setup incorrectly here, or maybe I'm asking for something that is in the works for v2, but I find it a pain to use my "mouse" (it's a flat pad on a laptop PC and not very easy to use) to move parts in the 3 views so I tend to (...) I forgot to post this DAT file here... It's not an official LEGO part. I needed to make small Lap Tops (by using 2 - 2x2 tiles) but the screens didn't look very well. Just to jump on the bandwagon... Here is my work space at home, but virtually (via MLCad and POV-RAY) and the model (with me in it). I had done this a while back... A little while ago a woman made a small LEGO model of herself at work. She had her own little cubicle, coffee mug, etc... I thought that that was a great and funny idea... I just found something about this - if the printer driver run's out of memory - MLCad doesn't get notified or at least ignores the errors - resulting in either blank pages (totaly blank) or also getting pages with just some rubish on it ... (...) Yep. The print preview shows it just fine. Everything is perfect right up until the actual print out process when the model won't print for anything. I just downloaded and installed ldraw, ledit, and mlcad per the web site instructions. I also installed the updated parts package. What i can't find are any of the 1xN technic beams. Copying some lines from POV-Ray's representation of Color 383 (Silver), a metallic/chromy version can be acheived. To get a good gold (...)
