Hi Micheal,
I am wondering if it would be possible to use an unique identifier for each
part belonging to a specific funcionality in the model. With this I mean:
I would like to model for example the Technic Space Shuttle in MLCad and to
see only the functionality of the model by selecting in a combobox a number.
So if I would selected number 1 I would only see the whole mechanism of
the flaps. Number 2 would could show me for example the turning mechanism
of the shuttle's arm. 3 the satelite opening and so on.
I think it would not be wise to put this extra number in the *.dat file (INPUT
from others here as well), but perhaps in a accompaning MLCAD meta file (so
only used by MLCAD).
DO you get my idea?
LEGO did this one's I believe with the old forklift (850 I believe, but
brickshelf.com doesn't show it).

| (...) You can do that in a similar way already now: Select the parts by functionality (e.g. turning mechanism parts) and group them. Once you've grouped all parts, you can easely hide/unhide the groups as you like... Until now it's not possible to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
