i'm sure there's a simple solution to this, but i certainly haven't been
able to figure it out.. so i figured i'd try and ask here. ;)

anyhow, after a recent reformat and reinstall of my os, mlcad hasn't been
working quite right.. i have since tried uninstalling/deleting both ldraw
and mlcad and reinstalling them, but i can't fix this problem..
here's what's happening:

when i first installed mlcad, i could load up a .dat model file, and when in
editing/moving modes, i could start at the begining of the file and pgdown
through the pieces one at a time, with each new piece being added to the
2d/3d view windows..
since the reformat, and even following fresh ldraw and mlcad installs, when
i load a .dat file and go into edit/move modes, the entire model is drawn no
matter where in the parts list i am..
now, the currently selected piece is simply highlighted, but all following
pieces in the list are drawn as well.
this makes it quite difficult to see where the current piece is, how it is
oriented, etc..

i know there's probably there's some simple setting i've messed up, but i
swear it worked perfectly when i first installed it without having to do
anything special.

any help or advise would be greatly appreciated..
thanks!

-joe

Go to Settings -> General and on the Rendering tab tick the "Draw to selected part only" box - I think Michael changed the default setting in the newer releases. Dan (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
