I think the File dialogs could benefit from some improvement in how path is determined. This applies to at least export model and export submodels (in Multipart mode) Both default to the root of the C drive and don't remember last filepath selected. (...) Is there an easy way to rotate by dragging in MLCAD? I have a situation where I want something to be tangent to two things and it's a complex 3 dimensional angle to calculate. Hello John, there has been two 2.12 versions of ML-Cad. The first one was up only for a few hours and crashed for unknown reason. Maybe you caught that version. Try to re-download ML-Cad from the ML-Cad homepage and make sure it's really (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) The crash is caused by an overwriting of a section in the graphic memory or something like this. Ask Michael if you need a proper explanation 'cos I'm just a humble user and not an author. I have a fairly complex model as an MPD I am working on with lots of submodels, and when I have it set to "draw to current part", I am experiencing GPFs (or mysterious terminations) of MLCad 2.11 when I use manual zoom. Well, after finally getting Ldraw and MLCad to my other (non-internet) computor, MlCad decides to crash. It asks me if I want to register the file types. I know it's off topic, but for those that didn't know, one can use LDRAW or MLCAD to make models using Knex(R) pieces, LEGO(R), and Sploids(R). MLCAD: I downloaded LDraw and opened up the files. They are saved on my hard drive. I then downloaded MLCAD onto my hard drive and opened up the file with WinZip. I've just uploaded the first renders of the progress on my room design. I've used a scale of 1 stud to 1 inch, and if I had enough of the right bricks I could probably build this later :) At the moment I still have quite a bit of work to - the 2 and (...) Michael, The new features of version 2.12 look handy, including the option to save a parts list (shortcut button; I don't know if that option had been available). Bug in MLCAD 2.12 Model names are invlaid if they have spaces. EX. I created a model and called it 'Train Shed Part 01.ldr'. Some strange problem occured during packaging the new version. I've tried the executable in the zip-file and in my case it crashed all the time ... no idea what's going on. I knew I should not have touched that button but alas I did. I clicked on the default button (settings->general) and now whenever I want to make a part transparent it won't! I would like to modify the standard colors as displayed in MLCAD. This way, I could make the black a little lighter and modify the line colors for certain colors. Mike, I love MLCad. Ok, that's out of the way. I'd like to request a change to how the arrow keys work in MLCad. If I remember right, the reason the LDRAW coordinate system is so odd is because it started out in 2D screen pixel coords and the 3D view (...) (...) Gatehouse. You could break it up, but it doesn't really work for a full-scale gatehouse for a castle. The walls are 16 dots thick and filled with filler brick (various colors). Hello, You are all aware that LDraw has that 1000 part limit and then must be sub-constructed. What my question is, does MLCad have the same limit or is it unlimited? Hey, QuickTime will do the exact same thing. QuickTime isn't just a movie player, it is a media wrapper. And virtual reality images is just another media supported. It will do full cubic panos like the castle, hot spots like the castle (I think it (...) (23 years ago, 20-Jan-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad, lugnet.cad)
