Hello John,

there has been two 2.12 versions of ML-Cad. The first one was up only for a
few hours and crashed for unknown reason. Maybe you caught that version. Try
to re-download ML-Cad from the ML-Cad homepage and make sure it's really
downloaded.. not only fetched from the browsers cache (you will notice by
the download speed).

Play well

Carsten

Well, after finally getting Ldraw and MLCad to my other (non-internet)
computor, MlCad decides to crash.  It asks me if I want to register the • file
types.  Then, when you click yes OR no, it crashes (illegal opperation) • and
whenever I try to open it, it crashes without doing anything.  I've • tried
re-zipping, and no matter whatever button I click, it crashes.  I have
version 2.12.

Hum.. may not be MLCad may be your system?  But to be sure let see.  My
version of MLCad 2.12 is stable so let's make sure you have the same one.

My says...

MLCAD.exe   1,068KB  Application   12/1/2001 6:34AM

ALSO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING FILES ON YOUR SYSTEM.
MSVBVM60.dll
OleAut32.dll
OlePro32.dll
AsycFilt.dll
StdOle2.tlb
ComCat.dll

These shoudl be in your \system32\ folder under Windows.
In NT, 2K and XP they are under \WINNT\system32\ in 98 and me look under
\WINDOWS\system32. They should be on a 98SE verison of 98, not sure about • 98
1st edition.  For windows 95.. hum.. I think you have to install them
yourself and for Win3.1 who knows?

Do your file match the ones above?  Look for then using windows explorer.
Next questions are:
1) What is OS on your PC?
2) What version of LDraw do you have installed?

Tried the files... had none, but MlCad still crashed after I got them on • the
system.   What are OS files?( I'm only twelve, and I don't have experience
in many things) I had version 2.12. Also, my MlCad exe is 1.06 megabytes,
more than yours.  Any more ideas?

(...) Thanks! You're right. Mine was downloaded at 8:45 in the morning on March 2. I got the old one. However, it (the older verision) worked perfectly fine on this (internet, win 98) computor. Maybe its the opperating system? My other one was a 95 (...) (23 years ago, 6-Apr-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
