The truck factor is basically, AFAIK, how many trucks it would take to wipe out the company/project/whatever. One truck hitting a car Todd is in would pretty much destroy Lugnet, and that's BAD. Sounds like maybe you should automate it, and have a script-driven requester that takes the address of the user and then automatically sends the password to the registered address of the person. The same way a lot of websites handle forgotten (...) (26 years ago, 21-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

FUT lugnet.admin.general Perhaps you should set up a separate status page on an unconnected server. That way status of LUGNEet can be checked before an "EMERGENCY" is reported - ie if the status is reported "normal", when evidently its is not, users (...) Part way through the day yesterday I stopped getting any message from Lugnet. And now its been over 24 hours now since I've received any messages from the Lugnet News-by-mail server. Is it down?
