Christmas was a BOON for my Lego collection with the addition of a DDK and a RIS1.5 to add to my 1.0 kit. Now I have a problem... How the heck do I organize all of these pieces so that I can find anything? My question to the group: Has anyone found (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Plastruct makes a glue (actually a solvent) that works well with ABS (along with most other Styrenes). I believe the solvent is based on Methyl Ethyl Keytone. Fumes are pretty nasty, and I believe the solvent is classified as a carcinogen in (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

My 2-studs worth: I'm always looking for more 2x1 and 2x2 inverse sloped bricks. The $3.00 for 16 pieces is a bit steep - and only in red? Hi, Because my kids destroyed my catalogs from 1990 until 1998 downloaded i the catalogs from 1966 until 1997 and burned them on CD. Now i can search for some items without being on-line. I don't know about with these two methods. What I used wasa soft gum eraser and rubbing alcohol. Get the eraser fragments embedded in some cotton, and you will be able to remove the decal without scratching. It took a LONG time to remove it, but (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)

Hello there, It looks like it would be very easy to ask the master builders of TLC or TLC themself of what kind of glue they use to build their model. And they use also a hammer to seal the pieces together. I don't know where to write them about (...) (25 years ago, 28-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I use a cyanoacryilic glue (like Loctite) and I'm very happy with the results. Some Duplo I glued years ago survived my two kids' heavy use and is still there in good shape. I tried Plasti Zap (found at Hobby Lobby) and it worked great. To test it, I glued two ruined 2x4 plates together. When I tried to pull them apart, the bricks actually broke before the bond did. I fear that TLC may attribute the strong sales of the Star Wars sets to Star Wars fanaticism rather than good set design. Hi, We bought an unopenend Lego Loco at a discount store and I can't get it to load on the computer. Brad, I've gotten a few "special" sets, 1775 and 2149 in particular, that are densely packed in order to take up as little storage space as possible.
