Do you have old worn out locomotive wheel rubber bands? I do and have found a solution that I thought I'd share -=orthodontic rubber bands=- . Hi Ben, This is a puzzle, I suppose it is possible that I have what is left of two sets. The motor is 3-1/3 brick high, and the battery box opens from the top. The motor and the battery box work great and are in great shap as are most of the pieces (...) (25 years ago, 1-Mar-00, to lugnet.trains)

  WAMALUG's GATS Layout was a huge success!
 
As you may've heard, WAMALUG displayed a layout at The Great American Train Show held over the weekend in Gaithersburg, Maryland. It was a *huge* success, and we tied for Third place (out of seven or so). We had one of the largest crowd draws, with (...) (...) The best way to cut down the possibilities is to isolate what it isn't. It isn't 9 Volt, since the track is multi-piece. There was no mention of conductor rails, so that rules out 12V. I picked up 100LBS of Lego this weekend and have sorted through it. I found an early train set, black engine, separate black battery box, 18 long curved track, 16 short curved track, and 8 straight track. Also eighteen wheel for the track, and five (...) John and Robin have some really good points. Allow me to side in with my opinion. In some cases it is frustrating that LEGO doesn't sell the extended train product line through retailers. (...) My DC class diesel has a 6 by 24 train base made from various plates. Around the edge I have 1 by x plates on the bottom of the 6 by 24 to simulate the normal base. Dean- Here is how I'd do it: (URL) use the layer on the right for the bottom, and the one on the left on top of it. Since I build 8 wide, I need to make custom wagon plates all the time. Lego will not sell accesories to retailers! Wow, Rob, that is infuriating. I always guessed that it was the otherway around; that is, retailers couldn't move the trains so they stopped carrying all the train stuff. My guess was always a bit suspect (...) All, The GFLTC was going to organize a LEGOFest at the H & R spring show(1), but it’s not going to happen. I met with the owners of H & R Trains for more than an hour. Gee, when you said Studs Not On Top I thought your were refering to a building style; using bricks in a way that their studs are not on top where they should be.
