I'm sorry if this has been asked before but...
I'm attempting to create a 6x24 train base. (Exactly like the engine
plate but in Yellow)
I'm having trouble creating the mount for the engine.
Is there a way to make the plate look like a standard train plate (two
plates thick) but allow the motor to move as it should?

| Dean- Here is how I'd do it: (URL) use the layer on the right for the bottom, and the one on the left on top of it. Since I build 8 wide, I need to make custom wagon plates all the time. | (...) My DC class diesel has a 6 by 24 train base made from various plates. Around the edge I have 1 by x plates on the bottom of the 6 by 24 to simulate the normal base. I mount a 2 by 4 technic plate underneath to support the bogie pin. Note that (...) (25 years ago, 27-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
