INFOINFOINFO!

We MUST have info!  ;-)

I want DCC BAD, so that BayLTC can go crazy with our train setup.

That's why we need someone to perfect digital train control!

...Convient u should mention this!!! WAMALUG's own Tom Cook has done just
that! We were successfully running 5 separate trains on one circuit with _no_
problems (other than the occasional minor crash when we let them catch up with
each other (including the dramatic accidental full-speed head on crash between
a small shunter engine and a metroliner))

...We're pestering Tom to post some more information on how he pulled this
little miracle off. It worked _great_ including a nice wired remote control we
threw under the tables so we could stand outside the tables and run 2 trains
at once (we actually could have controlled 4 trains with the remote, but didnt
try it).

I'd go with B currently. Someday I hope TLC comes up with a way to pick
up power that is separate from the motor. Power and propulsion should be
separate...

Here's another question, maybe directed more at Tom S. but any • experienced
train(ee) will probably have their own method. I am mostly interested in
techniques. To supply the light car with power would you a)  build a 9V
battery box into the generator car. b) Feed power from the engine car to • the
spot light car. c) put one of the motors under the light car. d) • something
else?

Of course for slightly additional realism, one should build an
accompanying generator car.

Regarding how I implemented DCC (Digital Command Control): I hope to have some pictures and descriptions up on my site in a couple days. It is 99% commercial parts. Thanks to the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) DCC is now standardized, so (...) (24 years ago, 29-Feb-00, to lugnet.trains)
