(...) Oh it's normal :) Soft use the library liblnp to connect to tower with lnpd. And lnpd block the acess to the tower ! Hi Vik, An input has a 10K pull-up resistor to 5V in it. When nothing is connected to the input the A/D converter will return a value of about 1023 (which represents 5V). I have been away for quite a while, and when I tried to upgrade to 0.2.6.10 I found that after I firmdl3 (which works, and the RCX works) I am unable to dll (yes, using the included dll, yes, with rebuilt .lx files). For those not familiar with the inner workings on winLegos it is essentially a pre-built Hitachi cross-compiler with several gnu utilities running under (...) My son and I have been looking BrickOS but one sticking point is that we have a slow connection at home which makes getting large packages hard. Carson, It looks like you missed the tar package.You can check to see what Cygwin packages have been installed on your system by using the cygcheck command at the cygwin command prompt. Ed, thanks for the quick response. I wrote out a reply, deciding that I would scrap 2.95 and just go for 3.1, but then I got an email pointing out the problem I was having was a bug in binutils. Matt, I have been working with Michael Zapp on "porting" brickOS to the Mac OS X. We too had a fairly easy time with the binutils (ver 20020918). Hi, I downloaded brickOS 0.2.6 and patched it to use the USB tower. All works well (firmdl3 is patched correctly, the module goes in, I can make my own .lx files), except for dll. I'm not a professional or anything, but your idea could run into the robot pulling to one side, and not going the exact 1 meter. if you had two rotation sensors (not exactly RPM sensors), the error would be greatly reduced in both the distance and (...) With access to a Mac OS X 10.2 this week I have made an attempt to build the cross compiler set under Mac OS X. Currently I have an issue with sysinfo.c with the binutils build. (...) fontdesign.exe is compiled as part of brickOS. The makedepend error you see if a bug in brickos (fixed in CVS). Just don't do "make depend" for now. Also, you can't "make strip" until you've done "make". Max. (22 years ago, 3-Feb-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

I do not belive fontdesign.exe does exsist because I did a a search on my computer and nothing showed up.I did follow all of commands that was in the installation guide on the brickos webisite. I had exactly the same problems not so long ago so i followed the instructions from this site and uninstalled the brickos i had and used the one they had provided following the link. I am running the cygwin environment in windows 98 and brickos 2.6.09.newconf2 Ok when I try to run the make strip comand this pops up strip fontdesign.exe strip: (...) (...) Mmmmm. I am curious, if that's ok. To get log2(xx) in O(1) time we could fetch (p[xx & -xx]) i.e. fetch our choice of the bytes at offset x 0 1 2 4 8 10 20 40 80 from some p we like.
