Well, I think trusting the Bush Blair duo is equally naive--"Oh we have
photos of the Iraqis moving stuff the day before the inspection teams arrive!"
I've been reading CNN during the slow times at work today and it's the same
old stuff--it's there and we'll invade even if we don't find it 'cause it's
there and we have the proof.
The only thing of a good note is that Blair said something like he'd support
another UN resolution if 1441 fails in its mission--that he wouldn't be
willing to go immediately to war.
So letting the UN do it's mandated mission can only be a good thing. The
walnut shell/peanut trick, if that's indeed what the Iraqis are doing, can
only succeed for so long--eventually the magician slips up and we get to
catch Saddam with his hand in the cookie jar. Of course, if that does
happen, I'd say it doesn't me we have to go to war, it means we find the
stuff and take it away from him.
But again, naive me thinking that peace is better than war.
Whoever questioned the logic of China wanting the North Koreans as
neighbours rather than an American policed country--I totally agree--I'll
take Americans any day of the week, contrary to some of my views
expressed--honestly if the world was more like the western world, there
would be less war. More pollution maybe, and more 'affairs of state', but
less killing. I believe its a better position from which to do better things.
Just throwing that one out there as well.
