I do.  (And I will again, if it keeps going.)  I foolishly thought that I
might appeal to reason, and see if off-topic.debate can be worth my while
again, instead of being sucked up by the Scott & Larry show.

I have, and I am.  From where I'm setting, you two appear to be:

a) *always* going at it

b) *never* getting anywhere

c) digging in your positions

d) *constantly* saying or implying that it's the other one who's "not
getting it".

e) refusing to quit first.

Without commenting (or caring!) about who is right, or who is a better
debater, it *IS* both of your faults, in equal measure, that you keep • going
at it.

That's how it looks from the bleachers, boys.

James

Now that I am on the bleachers:

I used to be an active participant in these things, but it got old.  Or I
got old.  Or just grew up a little bit.  Actually, what happened was that I
got my degree, got into my real job, and got my wife back from a year away
in Korea (military).  So I found better things to do than play with you
guys.  But it is nice to know that I am not the only one who (now) thinks
this way about some of these arguments.  I guess I just got tired of Larry's
standard Libertarian rhetoric and his claims that he has already espoused
his viewpoint so eloquently and decisively that no intelligent human being
would disagree with him.  As for Scott, I've been away too long to remember
what he argues about or for or against or with.  Some neutral party can
remind me if they wish.

How can you guys have real lives and still manage to post so much?  When I
was really active here I had hours and hours of free time, with no job but
getting my grad degree (at a school that maxed out at 12 credits a
semester), and no wife.  How do you fit it all in?

Later,

The Original Jesse Long
