“Only the best is good enough.” Which is best, the (supposedly) best color or the best system? There is a reasonable chance that Mr. Knudstorp would choose to maintain the integrity of the system.

This seems a very valid argument to me indeed.

And as many here have said, this one (relatively simple?) act, more than anything else that TLG could ever possibly do, would show without a doubt that TLG is aware of and is responsive to the concerns of the AFOL community.

Taking the risk of repeating myself too often, that would be, indeed, the only necessary but yet sufficient move from TLC that would make me believe that they are, sincerely, concerned with us.

Let’s do this; let’s write this letter, get some signatures, and get the letter into Mr. Knudstorp’s hands. Who is willing to help? This may be our last chance, but it’s in fact a good chance!

I’m with you here Walter. As I understand I’m one of the few that never gave up thinking that that could be a change back. WHY NOT? As I (and others) have said before, I think that the AFOL comunity gave up too easily. I can understand the people who gave up, I have read their arguments (1). Maybe it is true that fight will lead us nowhere. But how would we know that without trying? Is enough for us to see a (cough, cough) locked color list with the bleys on it to shut us up and accept the change as an irreversible fact? Not enough for me for sure.

Of course I will sign for such a letter or petition. Unfortunately I can’t offer myself to write it, because as you all may have noticed, my english is far from good.

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi(s) ... you’re our only hope.

May the force be with us ;-)

Best regards,

Paulo Renato

(1) - Although it is a really shame and it is a very sad thing indeed when those people don’t seem to try to understand the ones who didn’t gave up the fight (even if they’re fighting the only way they know), and therefore will call them whiners, complainers, crybabies, etc (2), without even knowing those persons in flesh and what do they really stand for in life, and therefore, judging them by a lousy media for comunication as this written messages are.

(2) See the replies to Matthew’s post. They say a lot, don’t they? People say (or like to think) that are, you know, tolerant, democratic, respect others ideas and opinions, etc, etc, but, like sand running off through one’s fingers, they can’t keep appearences for ever and, in the sudden, expose how democratic, respectfull, tolerant they really, really, are.

About a year has passed since we learned of TLG's terrible decision to "improve" the gray, dark gray, and brown colors. Our initial (and ongoing) firestorm was unsuccessful at reversing the change, and with Jake's recent "locked-color" post (URL), (...)
