I get the feeling with the demise of the blue tubs and other moves that
mainstream Lego is moving farther and farther away from making bricks. • Only
a rogue rebel element at Lego Direct seems to have some focus on this - • but
even their efforts are limited (and pricey).

This may all come true (sadly), but if Lego Direct expect to be able to
compete in selling these sets they are going to have to *SERIOUSLY* improve
their non-box shipping operation.  20 days to answer a pre-sales question
with drivel is not going to get me going back there too often.  BrickLink
and eBay are infinately superior!  Now all we've got to do is work out how
to get the good stock out of Lego and into the channels (BL and eBay, etc)
that seem to care about personal service.

Rant over, and if anyone wants a good laugh at the expense of Lego Direct
pre-sales operation I'll forward on the email in question - its in English
but its meaningless!

William

Given the trend over the past few years and looking at the pictures of upcoming products (spybots - just WHAT are these?????? - et. al.) I have to ask - Is TLC killing off "traditional" Technics? I'm hard pressed to find any traditional Technic (...) (23 years ago, 18-Feb-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.dear-lego)
