Not necessarily. They might need to assemble more pumps or motors, which is
not as simple as boxing pieces. And that is just an example on how reviving
an old line has hidden costs all over the place. As for Lego releasing NEW
sets in low cost, low profile boxes, I doubt that will ever happen. There is
a million reasons why, and they range from historical to branding issues.

I sincerely think Lego is more interested in selling its current product
line in Thailand or Japan than in getting more bricks to the American or
European builders. Maybe to cover both markets they need an investment they
don't want to make. Maybe the Asian aesthetics dictate models that are not
as thrilling to classic aficionados.
