(...) Well, I checked it out earlier today at school, and I think it's fantastic! Very good for your first story. I was amazed how much image-editing you did for it. I particularly liked the ones where the LEGO path connected to the "real" path, (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My new (actually really old) MOC: Gate to Sidon

(...) Yeaaaay! New stuff from Wilson! At the risk of being unconstructive: I love it! It's so full of life and detail that I could spend a good 15-20 minutes just browsing the same pictures again and again. The details work as do the color (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My new (actually really old) MOC: Gate to Sidon

(...) Great model. Excellent optimization of parts (base and half tower pieces), and great use of color and slopes. I like the fortifications on the top the best. In the last photo with the two shadowy figures - it looks like there are four (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) My official feedback is that you should keep doing this! The story was very well done, and the combining the foreground and the background was very well done. I'm a sucker for historical myth, even if the 'history' is ficticious, and the bit (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) <snipped> (...) I learned a new tool in PS - Blur. It worked fairly well to smooth the edges, especially of the trees, to make it look more like one image and not like I just cut something out of a magazine and slopped it onto another picture. (...)   Re: My new (actually really old) MOC: Gate to Sidon

Re: My first attempt at a story. The Forest of Blood part 1.

(...) Thanks for the input, Michael! I'll try to keep it up.:) I just hope that the rest of my story meets with as much approval. If there's one thing I, myself, don't like - it's a story that builds up and then fizzles and goes flat. (Gibson's (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Top 8 ways to get out of a slump ...

(...) I was having a temporary builder's block last night - not the kind of month-long slump that we've been discussing here, but an inability to make what I wantedto build (oddly enough, a minifig-scale mech) come out right. I had some parts joined (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Re: My new (actually really old) MOC: Gate to Sidon

(...) Thanks Pawel. I wanted to convey the feeling that Sidon was a hub for many different people and that people make livings doing different things. As for the building, I decided to build something in the Black Falcons Fortress color scheme. I'm (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Combining Castles Sets

Can anyone point me to a picture/set list/description of how the old castles are "supposed" to snap together? I have seen several sets, all with technic pins & holes - like they are supposed to go together. I would like to know if TLG ever actually (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Combining Castles Sets

(...) Um, I don't think there's any "official" way to combine castle sets. You just. . .put them together. That is to say, you would assemble your 6085 and 6059 according to the instructions, "open up" the 6085, and use the technic pins to insert (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: Combining Castles Sets

Thanks Thomas for the pictures. That's excatly what I was looking for. I couldn't quite picture how they would go together. I thought the finished castle would be square or symetrical (silly me). Thank you David for the list. Now I know what sets to (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.castle)
