How about a switch in time? And if you look to history for models, go to
books hoping to find that very buildable inspiration!
Take this as a plug for my Ancient Theme contest...
There are some fabulous quality books by Peter Connoly which are crammed
full of illustrations, models, and cut-away views. The one I have is "The
Ancient City: Life in Athens and Rome". Almost every page cries out "Build me!"
Other volumes cover The Holy Land, The Ancient Greece of Odysseus, The Roman
Fort, and other aspects of classical times. (I'll quit before this starts to
resemble a Time-Life book subscription ad!)
