Hi All, I've had a HUGE town display with train, monorail, etc.; but am now curious about some issues. For instance... How many motorized engines can be hooked together to maximize power, but not over-burden the controller? Can you hook up more than (...) (22 years ago, 12-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

I have to agree with Larry, in that the "charm" of the swap is the physical containers as well as the stickers, and knowing that the container itself traveled a great distance to be included in the layout. I am trying to make arrangements to be at BW. Waiting on a miracle in the funds dept. (Also looking for volunteers on this subject!) Short reasoning behind my vote: 1. Steam engine wheels. I posted about this before. The 'My Train' and the HP train look ridiculous: top half steam train, bottom half diesel. After two days of work the NGLTC has finished it setup of our tree for the Children's Healthcare of Georgia Festival of Trees in the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. My train collection consists of a number of 4.5, 12 and 9 volt sets. The 9 volt ones are converted to DCC, the 12 volt trains I run as is but running the 4.5 trains soon gets boring with their very limited capability for remote control and of course (...) (22 years ago, 5-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains)

I've started working on a new train layout. I couldn't make up my mind whether to make the cars 6 wide or 8 wide, so instead I plan to make them 384 studs wide. I've started with the accessories, but ran into a problem when the crossing signal hit (...) (22 years ago, 3-Dec-02, to lugnet.trains) !
