This summer, I have resolved to completely sort and organize my collection. I tried this once before, a few years ago, but lack of money to purchase organizing bins (plus, a total lack of room in my studio apartment to set up said bins) nixed that (...) (21 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.storage)

This may be a long shot- but you could try steaming them and then applying gentle pressure. Abs does allow for some moulding. Beware as you do not want to steam it too long-if you warp the studs the peice will be useless. You could build a decent (...) (21 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.storage)

A few months back I discovered my cache of baseplates from when I was a kid. Unfortunately, some of the smaller ones (8 x 16) were bowed and/or warped. I just recently moved into a new place, as a result I have had to re-do my Lego Storage system, I purchasd a series of IVAR shelving units which are great for Lego and Rubbermaid bins. (...) I like. I picked up some 30-compartment pages for $0.69 apiece, and three fit nicely into a 1" binder. (URL) did find, though, that they wanted to spontaneously pop out (I guess most coins aren't 1 stud thick :-), so I stapled each flap after (...) I do use similar boxes (although I'm a Shimano man, myself) for torsos of which I only have 5--10 (Dragon Masters, etc.), but when you only have one or two of each type I think that most tackle boxes are too deep---half the torsos will (...) You should be able to find some type that's just the right size to fit minifig torsos (I'd suggest getting frosted pages if you can), and a (...) Does anyone have any suggestions for storing low-repetition minifig torsos (and heads)? I'm thinking of those torsos (like those in Island Xtreme sets) which are sufficiently distinctive that you would only use one or two of each in a layout, while (...) I have big 3-inch binders which are loaded with plastic sleeves. Each theme has it's own binder. I then organize them by size, with the smallest in photo-sleeves, then up through full size. Hi Jon! I got my tables at IKEA about a year ago, but I decided on using the "AMON" table surface and "CURRY" table legs. One suggestion with the zip-locked baggies is to package parts up into smaller zip-lock bags, then put those smaller bags into one of the gallon-sized freezer zip-lock bags. E.g. I take these seperate bags: 1x1 plates, 1x1 round plates, 1x1 plates (...) (21 years ago, 4-Feb-04, to lugnet.storage)
