I have my larger instructions in a vertical carrying file case, sorted by theme.
The smallest sheets are tucked into a photo album (the kind with 'pockets').
Duplicate instructions are tucked away in the closet.
The file box we used was an "Eldon SpaceMaker Jumbo Box Office". Worked well
for us as it was easily portable and I'm sure I paid less than $15.

I'd have probably done something more organized, such as binders with sheet
protectors, but my six-year-old son enjoys building 'from instrucions' and will
often pick out 1-20 sets of directions at a time. Having them in file folders
makes it easy for him to find what he's looking for and quick to put away.
Hope this helps!
