Storage in the UK?

I would first like to start with a big hello to all AFOL's not just in the
UK but everywhere.
I very much enjoy reading the posts on the Lugnet news groups and as a
paid-up member of Lugnet I enjoy its facilities and would like to thank
those that keep it running.
Having read a few of the posts on storage it seems that they are mostly USA
orientated and I am wondering what people use for LEGO sorting and storage
within the UK.
I have a modest collection in the region of 20-25k parts so it does not take
up that much room but it is a growing collection thanks to Ebay and car boot
sales.
Also I am curious to know what software people use to keep track of the
parts they have.
