  Re: Trinity College robot contest

Fred & others, FYI, there were 5 teams of LEGO robots (using 6270 and HB) in the "grown-up" category from Penn State Abington-Ogontz (Abington, PA). These were freshmen and sophomore engr undergrads taking a robot design course. (One team placed (...) (28 years ago, 8-Sep-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  IR

How does one get the Sharp GP1U52 recievers to acknowledge the 100/125 hz scheme? I've tried using the set_ir_recieve_frequency and ir_counts routines but I only seem to be able to get recognition on port 15. Is there another piece of code that has (...)   Re: Charge polarity on each board opposite?

(...) Fred, I use dl on a DOS 286, which does the CONFIG register automatically I thought. In any case, I tried using dl -eeprom config0c.s19, with the same results.   Modification of RC Servo motor

RE: Charge polarity on each board opposite?

On a related note, given the power draw of the HB (minimal) would it be practical on some future design to put a small bridge rectifier. This will cost you ~ 1.4 volts (given two diode drops if I calculate it correctly) but has the advantage that (...) (28 years ago, 29-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

the hb has a diode to protect against reverse polarity at the coax jack on board. maybe you just blew your config register. the ic manual for the hb has instructions on using the downloaders to reburn the config. fred (28 years ago, 28-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
