  Re: Motor Driver Chips

The current still goes through the chip. 1 amp max. But now it will get more hot cuz you disipate more power accross the integrated transistors with the higher voltage. I think Fred mentioned that there was a thermal shutdown. (Is this true?) But I (...) (27 years ago, 28-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Motor Driver Chips

With external batteries driving the motor outputs(12V), does one have to worry about the 1amp rule of the driver chips, or can the chips still support a loas of 1amp before gong haywire?   input capture interrupts?

I would like to use the PortA input capture interrupts. Has anyone succeeded in writting code using Interactive C that accomplishes this? If so could you post or send me some sample code? Thanks Raj (27 years ago, 27-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  digital output?

I need four digital outputs to signal external circuitry. What's the best method? I would prefer something that does not require any additional address decoders or anything. Raj (27 years ago, 27-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
