The only discernable difference so far can be gleanned from the published
announcements of the retail and educational versions;
Rechargeable battery pack not mentioned as available for retail.
Legacy motor and sensor connecting wire also not mentioned as available for
retail.
I would assume that both these items will have to be supported by a different
version of the firmware since the legacy motors and sensors obviously aren't
digital and, presumably, will require different interface support and the
battery voltage for rechargeable packs is not the same as primary cells so any
low battery voltage monitoring would have to change.
