Rafe, I think that's actually what LEGO really wants anyway.  The bottom line is
the NXT is targeted at kids (of all ages) and needs to be at the very least,
FUN! :-)!

Btw, I too would be more than happy to just build a lot of stuff using the
existing LEGO tools (LabView and the like) and give feedback.
